Who We Are
Hartwell & Reyes Injury Law represents injured, ill, and disabled people. That is the whole practice. We do not defend insurance companies or employers, and we do not split our attention between the two sides. When you call us, the person on the other end works for you.
Daniel Hartwell and Marisol Reyes opened the firm in 2006 after years of plaintiff-side work, with a simple idea: people who are hurt or out of work deserve a lawyer who is easy to reach, honest about their case, and willing to do the work. The firm has stayed deliberately focused on injury and disability matters, because the people who walk through the door are usually facing the hardest stretch of their lives, and they are better served by counsel who handle these cases every day.
What We Stand For
An honest read. If you have a strong case, we will tell you. If you do not, we will tell you that too, and point you toward whatever does make sense. A clear answer is worth more than an easy one.
Reachable. You should be able to talk to a real person and understand what is happening in your case. We answer calls, return messages, and explain the process in plain terms.
On your side only. Insurers and agencies have lawyers working for them. Our job is to even that out and pursue what you are owed.

We have represented clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, workers compensation, and Social Security disability matters across central Ohio for more than 18+ years. We have resolved cases through settlement, through hearings, and at trial when that was the right path.

Daniel Hartwell
Founding Attorney
Daniel handles the firm's personal injury and medical malpractice work. He spent his early career litigating injury claims against large insurers and built the firm to give injured people the kind of steady, prepared representation those insurers respect. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and has tried cases to verdict.
Marisol Reyes
Partner
Marisol leads the firm's workers compensation and Social Security disability practice. She is known for guiding clients calmly through denials, appeals, and hearings, and for explaining a confusing system in language people can actually follow. She is admitted to practice in Ohio.

We work with clients throughout Columbus and central Ohio, including Columbus, Dublin, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, and the surrounding communities. If you are nearby but outside that list, call us anyway. We often work a bit farther for the right case.
